Alzheimer's and Dementia Care
Watching my mother progress through the stages of Alzheimer’s, losing first her short-term, then her long-term memory, and then the ability to reason, to make decisions, and even to read, I realized that caregivers need very specific training to work effectively with people with a dementia diagnosis.
As part of the instruction we provide, our caregivers receive hands-on experience in our on-site training lab with our life-sized "assistant," Alice, in addition to a 6-hour video training course which gives them tools to understand some of the reasons why dementia patients behave in unexpected, and sometimes, frustrating ways.
Watch this helpful video as Stephanie, owner and founder of Angels at Home, shares a lesson learned from her mom about dementia, and contact us to learn more about our services for independent living in Warner Robins, GA and other communities throughout Georgia.
